Below you will find a list of Applicable Specifications for various Hastelloy® Alloys.
AMS 5536
Description: Covering a nickel alloy that is both heat and corrosion resistant, the AMS 5536 specification is found on strip, sheet, and plate that is procured in inch/pound units.
Material Specification: Solution Heat Treated, Nickel Alloy, Heat and Corrosion Resistant, Strip, Sheet, and Plate, 47.5Ni – 22Cr – 1.5Co – 9.0Mo – 0.60W – 18.5Fe. The AMS 5536 specification is most often found in
Hastelloy® strip alloy X.
ASTM B333
Description: The ASTM B333 specification covers Nickel-Molybdenum alloys (UNS N10001, N10665, N10675, N10629, and N10624), in strip, sheet, or plate form that is mostly used in general corrosive services. Each piece undergoes product analysis and are required to comply with chemical composition requirements for Magnesium, Nickel, Vanadium, Sulfur, Phosphorus, Manganese, Cobalt, Silicon, Carbon, Chromium, Iron, and Molybdenum. For the strip and sheet applications specifically, the pieces undergo descaling, solution annealing, and hot or cold rolling unless the solution is annealed in atmosphere, and must conform to specified grain size requirements. Plates, on the other hand, undergo descaling, solution annealing, and hot or cold rolling with no exceptions, and are required to conform to standards for tensile properties like Rockwell hardness, elongation, yield strength, and tensile strength.
Material Specification: Strip, Sheet, and Plate Specifications for Nickel-Molybdenum alloys. The ASTM B333 specification can be found in
Hastelloy® B3 strip alloy
ASTM B574
Description: The ASTM B574 specification covers rods of Low-Carbon Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum-Tungsten alloy (UNS N06686), Low-Carbon Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum-Copper alloy (UNS N06200), Low-Carbon Nickel-Molybdenum-Chromium-Tantalum alloy (UNS N06210), and Low-Carbon Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum alloys (UNS N10276, N06022, N06035, N06455, N06058, and N06059), that is used in general corrosive services. Each piece is required to undergo chemical and product analysis in order to make sure they conform to required chemical composition for Tantalum, Copper, Aluminum, Nickel, Titanium, Sulfur, Phosphorus, Vanadium, Manganese, Silicon, Carbon, Cobalt, Tungsten, Iron, Chromium, and Molybdenum. Also, each piece also must undergo tension tests and are required to comply with mechanical property standards set for solution annealed, and hot or cold finished rods including elongation, yield strength, and tensile strength.
Material Specification: Meets Standard Specifications for Rods made of Low-Carbon Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum-Tungsten alloys, Low-Carbon Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum-Copper alloys, Low-Carbon Nickel-Molybdenum-Chromium-Tantalum alloys, Low-Carbon Nickel-Molybdenum-Chromium alloys, and Low-Carbon Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum alloys. Most often, the ASTM B574 specification is found in
Hastelloy® C-276 wire alloy.
ASTM B575
Description: The ASTM B575 specification covers Low-Carbon Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum-Tungsten alloy (UNS N06686), Low-Carbon Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum-Tantalum alloy (UNS N06210), Low- Carbon Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum-Copper alloy (UNS N06200) and Low-Carbon Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum alloys (UNS N10276, N06022, N06455, N06035, 06058, and N06059) in strip, sheet, and plate form and is used in general corrosive services. Each piece is required to comply with chemical composition requirements for Tantalum, Copper, Aluminum, Nickel, Titanium, Sulfur, Phosphorus, Vanadium, Manganese, Silicon, Carbon, Cobalt, Tungsten, Iron, Chromium and Molybdenum. Each alloy is also tested for tensile properties including Rockwell hardness, elongation, yield strength, and tensile strength. Dimensions will also be determined for squareness, straightness, length, width and thickness, in the strip, sheet, and plate forms.
Material Specification: Each Strip, Sheet, and Plate meets standard specifications for Low-Carbon Nickel-Molybdenum-Chromium alloys, Low-Carbon Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum-Tungsten alloys, Low-Carbon Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum-Tantalum alloys, Low-Carbon Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum-Copper alloys, and Low-Carbon Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum alloys. The ASTM B575 specification is usually found in
Hastelloy® C-276 strip alloy.
AWS A5.14
Description: The AWS A5.14 specification refers to chemical compositions in Nickel and Nickel-Alloy Electrodes and Rods. Application guidelines, packaging, testing and other general requirements are covered, including making use of both US Customary Units, and International System of Units (SI).
Material Specification: Nickel and Nickel Alloy Bare Welding Rods and Electrodes. The AWS A5.14 specification is found in
